Kettering Fairmont High School is located in Kettering, Ohio, In league States. It is home to approximately 2,500 students, making information technology the 6th largest high school in Ohio.[2]
History [edit]
The master school was part of the Vanguard Buren Township Schools and was staring in September 1906. The high school was located on Dorothy Lane just west of Far Hills Avenue. In 1922, the original 4-room school was too small for the student universe and was replaced by a larger building East of the original building on Dorothy Lane. The original four-elbow room train house future became the first Kettering City Residence.
As President Van Buren Township began to rapidly acquire as a in demand Dayton, Ohio suburban location, the new school along Dorothy Lane was quickly filled to capacity. In 1929, a new, advanced building was built connected Far Hills Avenue at the corner of Storms Road. The 1922 building became Dorothy Lane Primary school. In 1934, Fairmont Stadium was constructed behind the school as a football game and track and field of view venue for the school team. As interest in Fairmont football grew, a donation from the Foreman family, which had four sons who had been Dragon stars, helped remodel and expound the facilities.

In the 1970s, the vocational facilities at Fairmont West were swollen as the Charles Franklin Kettering Fairmont Career Tech Midway. But overall enrollment began to decline in the schoolhouse district. Subsequently 20 years, the Fairmont East campus was reborn to a middle schooling.
In the fall in of 1983, the consolidated school reopened as Charles Franklin Kettering Fairmont Inebriated School, with students from both East and West joining as the Fairmont Firebirds, taking the flight of the Falcon and the fire of the Dragon. The new school colors are US Navy chromatic, eloquent and Stanford White.
In the 1990s, a track and field facility was constructed on vacant land along the campus between Far Hills and Shroyer. Fairmont participated in the Miami Valley League (MVL) and subsequent in the Hesperian Ohio League (WOL). They are now in the Greater West-central Ohio Conference.

Football game and Hockey is played at Roush Stadium. Basketball, varsity baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, racetrack and field, volleyball, and wrestling are held at James S. Trento Arena.[8]
